Geared to Serve you better

June 2020

by Joshua Enz on May 29, 2020

So much has happened this year that it has all blended together for the most part. It is hard to believe that the month is over already. As the quarantine finally lifts and the state is once again open, I look forward to the upcoming Summer. When I think about what has transpired this year so far, I am hoping for things to settle and return to a new normal. This year has challenged us all and has not been easy, but it has opened our eyes and caused us to plan during an uncertain future. We want to say thank you for working with us during this crazy time. Lets get through this all together and stay focused on the positive.

Employee of the Month

robert pyle
For the Month of May is Robert Pyle. We appreciate Roberts hard work and dedication to not only Kwik Staff but every job he goes out on. We know that no matter where we place him he will give it his all.

What exactly is Change?

Throughout this year I have been giving the word change a lot of thought. We hear it said at least 100 times each day in social media, on our zoom meetings, conference calls, read about it on the internet news or hear it mentioned on the radio or tv. I once read that change will happen whether you want it to or not, and you can either choose to change or be left behind. So what is change? It is the inevitable force that causes us to grow and progress or be left behind. Think of it this way, when the light bulb was invented all of the oil/gas lamp companies had a choice: they could either choose to embrace the incandescent light, or they could choose to do what they have always done. Everyone today can name at least one company that chose to change with the times, but how many of us can name an oil/gas lamp company.  Change will happen, the best part is we are able to embrace that change and make a name for ourselves as well. Thank you for embracing the change this year. We are all in this together.

Summer is here!

I know it is hard to believe it, but summer is about to begin. This year has both flown by and been in slow motion. If you are like most of us, your summer projects are bursting at the seams to be completed. Remember we are here to help. We can provide laborers for almost any job, any size, anywhere. Call us today to see how we can help you complete your next upcoming project.

The 2nd Quarter was here and is gone.

I think this year has been the fastest slow year ever. It is hard to believe that we are almost halfway done with the year. Yet at the same time months seem to take forever to pass as we wait for the quarantines to be lifted so we can return to some semblance of normal. With everything that is happening around us this year it has proven that we are determined to win, and strive to hit our goals. Out of every adversary there is always triumph for those that are determined to get through it. We may not win every battle we face, but it is the fact that we face them head on that causes us to succeed. A wise man once told me failure is not the opposite of success, quitting is. If we choose to get up and keep moving forward we will eventually succeed and you will learn so much in the process.

Word of the Month

indefatigable- incapable of being tired out; not yielding to fatigue; untiring.

As we move through everything that is happening around us, we must remember to stay focused on the end goal. We need to not grow weary in perseverance and remain indefatigable in everything we do. We are all in this together, let's finish stronger together.

BOSS
Interview with The Boss!

What made you want to start your own staffing company?

Todd: My wife and I were wanting to start a     similar small business. When the company that I was working for, fell on hard times and let us know that they were going to close. I was happy to know that my future was secured and we had made plans to start our own.

Was Tammy on board with you from the word go?

Todd: Tammy was completely on board and       extremely helpful. We had to work very long hours to set up the entire company and business plan in just a few days. I don’t think we could have done it with out her help.

Why did you choose Kwik Staff and the geared logo for you business?

Todd: We are geared to assist your staffing needs and a gear just felt appropriate to incorporate into the name. Kwik staff came about because our first location choice was right next to a Kwik Shop.  However when we needed to find the building    almost over night our location plans changed but the name stuck.

What is your favorite memory so far in business?

Todd: My favorite memory is having to open so quickly, the fact that we spent until 3 or 4  in the morning setting up everything that we needed to run a business was just fun. Our first office desk’ was a folding table and a few folding chairs. I remember even using my personal cell phone as our office contact number, because we were still working on getting the phone lines connected. It was a crazy fast turn around, but fun knowing that we were accomplishing something great.
